How does PETA make money?

PETA has a dedicated page on their financial reports. The organization itself thrives off of donations. If you go on the homepage http://peta.org  you’ll see that the link to DONATE NOW is highlighted in yellow while the main theme of the page is blue and grey. After clicking the link to donate,  PETA states where your money is going towards – animals suffering and dying on factory farms, in laboratories, in the fur industry, and in circuses and other forms of “entertainment.”  The page gives the options of donating either $25, $35, $50, $100 and an additional field for any amount. It also gives the option of repeating to donate that amount every month. Because PETA is so controversial in their efforts to be known and heard, they’ve been criticized about where the money is actually going.
